Manchester United are reportedly willing to sanction the sale of Ashley Young when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The England international has been an important figure for the Red Devils over the past eight years but his future remains uncertain with his contract expiring next summer.
A recent report indicated that Young is aware that he won’t be handed with a new deal beyond the season and The Mail reports that the veteran could be permitted to find a new club in January itself.
United have relied on Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the regular right-back choice this term but Young has still made 16 appearances while acting as the back-up as well as starting on the left side of the backline.
With the injury comebacks of Diogo Dalot and Luke Shaw, Young’s gametime could be reduced during the backend of the season and it appears that the club are willing to let him go as early as the winter transfer window.
