Chelsea finally reach contract agreement with emerging star

Hudson-Odoi finally signs new Chelsea deal

Chelsea have finally sorted out the future of Callum Hudson-Odoi after committing the teenager to a new long-term contract with the club.

The England international had been in a contract standoff with the Blues since the turn of the year amid concerns that he may struggle to earn regular gametime with the first-team.

However, the player’s stance has finally changed following months of negotiations and the Blues have now confirmed that he has penned a new contract until the summer of 2024.

“It’s an amazing feeling. It’s been a long wait but it’s done now and I’m really happy about that,” Hudson-Odoi was quoted as saying by the club’s official website following the renewal.

Hudson-Odoi has recovered from a serious Achilles injury picked up during the backend of the previous season but he has yet to make his bow under Frank Lampard due to the reduced match sharpness.

The League Cup clash against Grimsby Town could witness the potential return of Hudson-Odoi on the playing field. Alongside the teenager, Reece James could be handed with a Blues debut during that game.

Arsenal confirm new long-term contract for young midfielder

News » Premier League news » Arsenal news

Arsenal have announced that young midfielder Joe Willock has been handed with a new long-term contract following his impressive showing for the club this season.

The England youth international had a promising pre-season where he was regularly deployed at the heart of the midfield and his performances were sufficient enough to hand him starts in the opening three league games.

In a statement released on the club’s official website, it has now been confirmed that the youngster has been rewarded with a new and improved contract, although the length of the deal remains undisclosed.

Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi seem to have cemented two places in the centre of the park and Willock will certainly face competition for the third midfield role in the presence of Lucas Torreira and Dani Ceballos.

Arsenal will be aiming to secure their first win in three matches when they face Watford on the road this weekend. The Gunners are currently just outside of the top four on goal difference.

Hudson-Odoi set for new Blues contract

Chelsea are prepared to reward Callum Hudson-Odoi with a new five-year contract before reintroducing him to first-team action next month.

The youngster has been sidelined for the past four months with an Achilles injury but he has recently returned to first-team training with his teammates.

According to The Telegraph, the west London giants are in advanced negotiations over a new deal with the winger and they are optimistic of committing him to a five-year contract before he makes his comeback.

Hudson-Odoi is currently on a £25,000-a-week package at the Blues and he stands the chance of boosting his salary by at least seven times, should he extend his contract with the club.

The England international is presently contracted to the Capital outfit until the summer of 2020 and has been linked with a big-money move to Bayern Munich in the past.

The German champions seem to have ended their interest following a series of failed bids in January and are unlikely to come up with a renewed approach in the near future.
