German giants Borussia Dortmund have no plans of parting ways with Jadon Sancho in the New Year amid the speculated interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.

The England international has been reported to be unsettled due to the recent criticism of his attitude from manager Lucien Favre and there have been claims that he could leave the Bundesliga side in the New Year.

According to Bild, Dortmund have no desire to cash in on their prized asset at the turn of the year and they are prepared to wait until the summer before considering his future.

Manchester United and Real Madrid have recently been linked with a £100m swoop for Sancho and reports have also claimed that Chelsea could join the race once their transfer ban concludes.

Chelsea are not permitted to make any new signings until July 2020 but they are said to be confident of reducing the transfer ban after making their appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Ben Chilwell news

Foxes won’t sell Chilwell in January

Leicester City will reportedly turn down the option to sell defender Ben Chilwell, should the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United make an approach.

The England international has been in stunning form for club and country this term and he recently bagged three assists for the Three Lions in a Euro 2020 qualifier.

As a result, there has been much speculation over his next challenge but Standard Sport claims that the Foxes have no intention to sanction the player’s sale in the New Year.

United have relied on Ashley Young and Brandon Williams on the left side of the defence this term with Luke Shaw struggling with muscular injury concerns.

As such, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to recruit another left-sided defender with experience and Chilwell perfect fits the club’s requirements for the long-term.

Elsewhere, Marcos Alonso and Emerson has remained inconsistent for the Blues despite their strong start to the campaign and Frank Lampard is open to working with Chilwell.

Chilwell’s current deal with the Foxes expires only in the summer of 2024 and the club are in a strong position to decline bids in the next few transfer windows.

Football Transfer Centre

German midfielder Kai Havertz has hinted he could be ready to depart Bayer Leverkusen in favour of a transfer elsewhere, with clubs in England apparently considering a move for the creative starlet. Bayern Munich have also been linked with a transfer for the Leverkusen man.

“They’re probably the biggest club in Germany and there are many players that were very successful at a young age that went there,” he said about Bayern’s reported interest. “Therefore, I get linked with Bayern, but we’ll see what happens.

“There are players that want to stay close to their family and others say, ‘I want to live in another country’.

“There’s something clear: if you want to be a star in Germany, you can’t go wrong with Bayern.”

Man Utd have been constantly linked with a move for Havertz, and when asked about a move to England the player responded:

“I think I’ve picked up enough international experience at Leverkusen,” he added.

“I know the rhythm of these international matches and I’m confident that I can go abroad at any moment and play at clubs outside of Germany.”

United face competition for Sancho’s signature

Manchester United are reportedly set to face stiff competition from some of Europe’s elite sides, should they wish to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund next summer.

The Red Devils had made an approach for the England international during the summer of 2019 but Dortmund made it clear that the attacker was not for sale.

Since then, reports have indicated that Dortmund may sanction the winger’s sale at the end of the season and there are likely to demand a sum of around £100m.

According to Bild, United are no longer alone in the player’s pursuit and they are set to face competition from the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, City, Liverpool and Chelsea next summer.

Sancho, who has generally featured on the right side of the attack, has been in sublime form for Dortmund this term and he has already bagged four goals and seven assists from 13 appearances.

His current contract with Dortmund only expires in the summer of 2022 but Dortmund chief Michael Zorc has recently hinted that the teenager could be permitted to leave the club for the right price in eight months’ time.

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to meet Borussia Dortmund’s price tag for Jadon Sancho when the current season comes to a close.

The 19-year-old has been a revelation for the Bundesliga outfit since joining them from Manchester City two years ago and he has already bagged 18 goals and 30 assists across all competitions.

United had failed with an approach to sign Sancho from Dortmund over the summer but The Mirror indicates that they will return for his signature at the end of the campaign.

It is added that Dortmund will consider offers in excess of £100m for the England international and United are more than willing to meet the valuation next summer.

Aside from Sancho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side are also eyeing deals for James Madisson and Ben Chilwell from Leicester City and they are optimistic of pushing through the moves at the same period.

Manchester United have recently jumped to the top half of the league standings following a 3-1 triumph over Norwich City on the road. They are set to face Chelsea in the midweek League Cup tie away from home.

Eddie Howe reacts to transfer speculation on Callum Wilson

Eddie Howe reacts to transfer speculation on Callum Wilson

Callum Wilson news

Eddie Howe unperturbed by Wilson speculation

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has said that the recent speculation linking Callum Wilson with a winter move to Manchester United seems pointless.

The England international has been in sparkling form of late with five goals from four league appearances and this has earned him another call-up with the Three Lions.

Amidst this, there has been the speculation that the Red Devils may launch a January move to secure his services but Howe believes it is too early to speak on the transfer gossip.

“To hear transfer links and rumours at this stage when the window is shut and a long way from being open, for me, it is pointless talking about it,” he told via Goal.com.

Wilson has netted in each of the past four league matches for the Cherries and Howe will be banking on the marksman to prove his credentials against Arsenal on Sunday.

The Cherries have a dreadful record at the Emirates Stadium with four defeats on the bounce and they will require a quick start off the blocks to take advantage of the Gunners’ vulnerability at the back.

Sterling wanted by Real Madrid

Real Madrid have reportedly earmarked Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling as their prime target for the 2020 summer transfer window.

The England international has been a huge contributor for the Citizens in the past couple of seasons and he has started the current campaign in the same vein of form with five goals from as many league appearances.

According to The Athletic, Los Blancos have held a long-term interest in the former Liverpool graduate and they are prepared to make a renewed approach at the end of the 2019/2020 season.

Still, the Citizens are in a strong position to keep Sterling with nearly four years remaining on his contract and Los Blancos will have to come up with a bid in excess of £100m to persuade the Premier League holders into doing business.

Sterling was an unused substitute during the recent Premier League against Watford where the Citizens romped to a stunning 8-0 win. He could feature against Preston North End in the League Cup third round tomorrow.

Rice open to future United move?

West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has said that he has the credentials to play for Manchester United but he is not prepared for the challenge at the current point of time.

The England international has made impressive progress with the Hammers over the past year and he is now regarded as one of the constants in the national setup.

As such, there has been speculation linking him with a move to the Red Devils and speaking to Four Four Two, he has acknowledged that he would be tempted to join the club in the future.

“Don’t get me wrong, I think I’ve got the ability to play for a club like that. But it’s all about the timing and I don’t think the timing is right for me at all. I’ve still got so much to learn,” he told.

Rice has made three appearances for the England national side since switching his allegiance from the Republic of Ireland. He is expected to feature in the forthcoming games against Bulgaria and Kosovo.

Manchester United confirm their third signing of the transfer window

Manchester United confirm their third signing of the transfer window

Harry Maguire news

Maguire signs for Manchester United

Manchester United have completed their third signing of the summer transfer window with defender Harry Maguire joining them from Leicester City.

The England international has penned a six-year deal with the Red Devils after they agreed on a world-record £80m fee for a central defender.

“I am delighted to have signed for this great club. I am now looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and getting the season started,” he told the club’s official website.

United had been desperate to pursue Maguire from the beginning of July, but they could not strike a deal with the Foxes, who were reluctant to reduce their £80m price tag.

Ultimately, the Mancunian giants had to bow to the demands of Brendan Rodgers‘ side and it remains to be seen whether the 26-year-old can hit the ground running from the off.

Aside from Maguire, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s side have landed the services of winger Daniel James and right-back Aaron Wan Bissaka from Swansea City and Crystal Palace respectively this summer.

Manchester United are scheduled to host Chelsea at Old Trafford in the Premier League opener on Sunday and Maguire could make his debut alongside Victor Lindelof at the heart of the defence.

Cahill on cusp of Arsenal free transfer move?

Arsenal have tabled their first offer to sign free agent Gary Cahill. The 33-year-old defender, whose contract with former club Chelsea expired last season, has received offers from Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and now the Gunners are the most recent option that the former England international has to pick from.

After seven years with the Blues, Cahill opted to leave Stamford Bridge in favour of a move elsewhere. Today it has emerged that Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to sign Gary Cahill as a backup centre-back for Rob Holding, who is expected to emerge back in to the first-team this season once he has fully recovered from injury. Unai Emery is also set to sell Shkodran Mustafi in the next three weeks and it is understood that Cahill is wanted not just as an important member of the squad, but also to help educate and teach the young Holding. Interestingly, both Holding and Cahill both came through the ranks at Bolton.

It is understood that Arsenal are now clear favourites to wrap up a deal for Cahill and that a one year contract is on the table at the Emirates.

Jurgen Klopp news

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is delighted with his club’s efforts in the summer transfer window, having kept hold of his best players for yet another season. The Champions League winners have not been as active in the window as their rivals, but Klopp insists that is more important than bringing in new faces.

Liverpool have managed to keep hold of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk despite rumours of their departures.

Klopp quipped: “It is a bonus just keeping these guys together for another year. We wanted to, they absolutely deserve it, and it means consolidation, pay the bills, play football, go for everything.

“Only in England, do you come up with new faces and to bring in more quality. But that was never the intention because we have a wonderful age group and they deserve to stay together.

Divock Origi has a new contact and all the others have stayed – that is the transfer business I like. People may smile or laugh about it, but keeping a team like this together is not easy.”
